We are very proud to be working with Henshaw’s Charity at Novacross. Competitor signing on and race administration all takes place at the wonderful Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre, where the charity work for the blind and visualy impaired.
In 2017, we are thrilled to have a tandem crew in our 10am GoCross that will have double Rio Paralympic gold medalist Steve Bate as stoker. The tandem will be piloted by the well known professional cycling journalist and test rider Guy Kesteven.
This is a particularly relevant way for NovaCross to raise money for Henshaws Charity, because they have a long established group of volunteers who take blind and visually impaired people for rides on summer evenings.
Steve has never raced off road before, and having just 8% vision we should applaud his nerve in taking on this challenge.
We are seeking to fund some cycling equipment for the centre. Please visit the JustGiving website and donate, even if it is just £1.
